Danby Castle offers a wonderfully different location for your civil ceremony and reception. You can marry in the Court Room, Jury Room or even the site of the old great hall, which is now the bar.
We offer excellent home cooked food - be it a hog roast with all the trimmings you are after or a medieval style banquet. You are able to theme the wedding as you like and have had many requests, from night club to cowboys/western to beach party! Ceilidh bands are a very popular form of entertainment, and we have room for bands to play as we also hold musical events here.
We are a very different venue, our philosophy is that you as the bride and groom should have the day you actually want - not the day that a hotel may dictate! There is plenty of accommodation nearby and you can also camp on site.
