very short wedding story Can't Post

we are victoria and matthew, we have been together for 9 1/2 years. we got wed at home in wakefield on 20th june. the ceremony was at 1 pm and i was 15 mins early so we started at 12.45!
i wore 'linda' by romantica of devon in champagne gold and a circlet i had made for me by a jeweler online. i also wore flat ivory pumps (im 5'11, dont need more height!) and had an annoying silver 6pence in it that my husband had bought for me a few weeks before.
my flowers were fake as were all the flowers in the wedding as i have a phobia of real flowers! plus, i get to keep them forever.
the ceremony was so good and exciting and everyone cheered when we were finaly pronounced husband and wife.
we went on to the reception in a pink limo at a canal side pub in wakefield and we partied till the wee hours finishing up at a local night club in town. we have no class!!!
the following thursaday we flew out to jersey for a weeks honey moon and it was boiling!
anyway the whole wedding including honeymoon (not spending money) came to £2500, so if you want budget advice i can do that!!! if you need any help just ask me Wink

eeek, i edited to put some wedding pics on and i cant see them?
flowers, go to a country baskets or another diy shop and diy yourself silly. if you do them wrong you can just untie them and start again
venue - did you sign an agreement when you booked it? they should honour that, if not ask them if you can pay corkage for your own bottles.
otherwise, get looking for a new venue. we found the best prices were in pubs that have a function room. they only cost a few hundred and are normally happy to do a buffet or let you provide your own. ours did a 3 course carvery for £9.95 a head and it went down a treat.

Sounds lovely Victoria :D Your pic is great, you look so happy!

And amazing that you managed that for the budget! If you don't mind, could you do a price break down for us? I'd love to see how much things can cost!

Your photos are lovely!! You look really gorgeous, and what a lovely dress!!

Thanks for the price breakdown, you really managed to halve your budget by pulling in favours, didn't you!! I don't know anyone that can make cakes/ dresses or anything like that!!
